Description: Indian society for veterinary surgery was founded in 1977 at Hisar with a view to provide a common platform to Indian Surgeons to exchange their views. The annual conferences of ISVS has done a great deal in regenerating the Veterinary Surgery in India. In order to augment the participation of the Indian Surgeons many awards were instituted i.e., young surgeon's award, M.R.
