Organizational Strategies for Survival in the War for Talent

Abstract

The rapid pace of economical, technological & social changes is squeezing the labour market. Organizations expand their businesses quickly and often choose to merge or acquire other organizations. The alternative that now is available with the firms is Lift-out. This is an emerging challenge for the HR department to all organizations. This paper tries to find out how to overcome such situations. The HR policies have to be reanalyzed by the organizations. The organization formulates different strategies at individual and organizational level. Appreciation, opportunities to grow, co-operative environment, organizational environment such as developing culture-values, company reputation, trust, flexible hours, tele-commuting, work schedule, vacation and exitform are some of the factors that may be used to retain talent.
