Abstract Present study was undertaken to investigate plant species diversity in rocky laterite plateau of Teliwadi. One hundred forty one plant species belonging to 49 families were recorded. Family Fabaceae was represented by 15 plants followed by Cyperaceae (9), Asteraceae (7) and Malvaceae (6). The study area was found to be rich in herbs out of which 41 are endemic to Western Ghats.
