Online published on 26 March, 2024. Abstract During an extensive study on algae the authors collected near about 110 phytoplankton species. Present paper deals with nine taxa out of them, which were collected for the first time from Jalgaon district of Maharashtra state. Those were collected from rivers, ponds, lakes, streams, channels, pools, puddles, ditches, tanks, industrial effluents and sewage wastes at various seasons during August 2021 to November 2022. These nine taxa included Trochiscia aciculifera, Golenkinia radiate, Lagerheimia subsalsa, Chodatella quadriseta, Dicanthos belanophorus, Nephrochlamys subsolitoria, Crucigenia tetrapedia, C. triangularis, and Eremosphaera oocystoides.
