Attempts were made during present study to investigate the potential of some selected plant species for biological control of this disease, in order to avoid the use of chemical pesticides. Out of the extracts from seventeen plants, fourteen showed partial, while Ocimum sanctum, Zizyphus, jujuba and Allium sativum (bulb and leaves) showed complete growth inhibition of the pathogen.
