Online published on 12 July, 2024. Abstract An experiment was carried out in Karveer taluka of Kolhapur district during the kharif season of 2021 to investigate the incidence of Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. Smith) and its parasitization by Campoletis chlorideae (Uchida) in maize. The peak infestation of S. frugiperda larvae was observed on 27th SMW (0.93 larva/plant) during the kharif season. The parasitism ranged from 53.85 % to 93.55 % with a peak on 27th SMW Significant positive correlation was observed between larval population and maximum temperature, while negative correlation was found between the larval population and humidity. Pest population was significantly and positive correlated with percent parasitism. Top Keywords Spodoptera frugiperda, Campoletis chlorideae, Maize, Correlation. Top | |
