Abstract Present study was undertaken to evaluate antifungal activity of plant extracts and biocontrol agents against Pythium ultimum, the pathogen of Damping-off disease in Lepidium sativum L. Leaf extracts of Martenia annua L., Xanthium stramonium L. and Mucuna pruriens L. at various concentrations (2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 %) were tested for this purpose by employing poisoned food technique. The results indicted that the extract of Martenia annua resulted into 75.00 % inhibition of disease followed by Xanthium stramonium and Mucuna pruriens. Furthermore, efforts were also made to explore the bio-control efficiency of T. harzianum, T. viride, and P. fluorescens against P. ultimum.
