Abstract Fire risk for patients in hospital intensive care area is not uncommon especially with unsafe conditions combined with unsafe practices like exposed electric cable on wet floor patient by nursing staff. The clean, tidy ICU, risk identification and mitigation and using appropriate work instructions by staff will help to improve fire safety.
