Studies on Weed Control in Irrigated Cotton (Var. Mcu-5) Sankaran S., Balasubramaniam N. Department of Agronomy, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbaiore-641003 Abstract In a two year field study (1971–73) at the TNAU Farm on weed control in MCU-5 cotton, pre-emergence application of cotoron at 1.75 kg/ha was consistently efficient and remunerative treatment. This was followed by pre-emergence application of Lasso at 5.0 L/ha either alone or in combination with post-emergence application of Ansar- 529 (2.0 L/ha). Directed split application of Gramoxone (3.0 L/ha) was one of the highly promising Ireatment when tried in the second season only. Top | |
