Clinically the animal was dull, depressed with suspended ruminal motility, pale mucous membranes and right abdominal distention. Per rectal examination revealed gas filled distended caecum. Under local analgesia, right flank laparotomy depicted 3600 counter clock wise caecal torsion which was corrected by counter rotation. Faeces passed within six hours post-operatively besides feed intake from next day onwards. Uneventful recovery was observed after fluid therapy, antibiotic, anti inflammatory and anti histaminic therapy for five days post-operatively.
