The fish attained surgical plane of anesthesia. Clinical examination revealed it as hard masses over its head and left lateral region of the abdomen. Surgically both the masses (mass) were excised. Surgical diathermy unit using both monopolar and bipolar electrode was used for haemostasis. Histopathological examination revealed the growth as fibroma. The fish had an uneventful recovery.
