Surgical Management of Rectal Prolapse in an Indian Grey Mongoose

Abstract

A young Indian grey mongoose was presented with complaint of lacerated haemorrhagic mass protruding through the anal orifice. After proper cleaning and disinfection, the prolapsed mass was repositioned by using purse string suture followed by post-operative antibiotics and NSAID therapy.
