Aims and Scope
Aims and objectives of the society shall be:
To promote the cause of advanced study in all branches of geochemistry, including marine and environmental chemistries and applications for the benefit of Mankind (Applied Geochemistry).
To cooperate with existing Academies, Societies and Institutes having similar objectives for the advancement of science and social benefit in India and with other such associations and bodies when founded.
To promote the cause of Research and Training (R&T) in Applied Geochemistry in India.
To organize meetings and conferences for the discussion of subjects of interest and importance to the advancement of Applied Geochemistry in India.
To represent internationally the scientific work of India in the field of Applied Geochemistry.
To secure grants, funds and endowments, and otherwise mobilize funds and resources for the furtherance of the study and Research of Applied Geochemistry in India.
To undertake and execute all other acts which shall promote the aims and objectives of the Society.
To start the Journal of Applied Geochemistry.
Scope of the Journal:
The Journal of Applied Geochemistry publishes articles after peer review by a minimum of two experts covering all aspects of the application of geochemistry to exploration of natural resources and especially study of mineral resources and environmental geochemistry and related fields.Topics include: analytical geochemistry, environmental studies/environmental geochemistry, experimental geochemistry, exploration geochemistry, ocean sciences, fluid inclusions, geochemical engineering, geomathematics/geostatistics and data processing, geochemical mapping, hydro- geochemistry, isotope geochemistry, mineralogy/mineral chemistry, petrology/Petrochemistry, pollution and effluent geochemistry, ore geochemistry, organic geochemistry, petroleum geochemistry and other related fields. The papers that seek to integrate geochemical, geological and geophysical methods of exploration are welcome.
