Isolation of 09 Azotobacter isolates of rice rhizosphere was done on Jensen’s medium. The Rhizoctonia solani fungus was isolated from infected plant of rice and identified microscopically. Out of the 09 isolates, only three isolates (1, 2 and 7) showed high inhibitory effect on the pathogenic fungus in dual culture on PDA medium. The screening of 09 rice rhizosphere isolates for Indol acetic acid (IAA) was done in Luria broth (LB) medium. Only one isolates showed highest amount of indole acetic acid production. All isolates were screened for ammonia production and phosphate solubilization and among them only 02 isolates showed highest ammonia production and 04 isolates showed highest amount of phosphate solubilization.
