Guidelines For Authors
Authors are strongly encouraged to submit their manuscripts electronically via email to jims.8m@jagannath.org and on receipt of the manuscript an acknowledgement is emailed to the author. The manuscript after passing through the Plagiarism check through a software is evaluated for the original content. If the Original content is less than 75% excluding the references, then the author is advised to revise and rewrite the original content upto 75% permitting the author three times. Once this is achieved by the author, the manuscript is sent to the reviewer for review. Based on the final report of the reviewer the final decision for publishing the article is taken by the Managing editor and same is conveyed to the author.
Guidelines for Research Papers/Case Studies/ Perspectives/Book Reviews
- Each manuscript must be accompanied with an abstract of 150-200 words.
- Manuscript should not exceed 5000 words.
- The font should be 10 points and Times New Roman with 1 line spacing.
- The author's name, designation, affiliation, complete address with mobile number must be provided on a separate sheet.
- All drawings, graphs, and tables should be provided on separate pages.
- Case Studies should be original and not published anywhere.
- Book reviews should include name of the author, publisher, price and year of publication and ISBN number. If any references are used, details of the same have to be provided.
- Perspectives should depict emerging issues and ideas that contribute to the think-tank of managers, administrators and policy makers.
- Authors must acknowledge the sources consisting of other author’s concepts or data or findings and exhibits. References cited in the main text should also be listed in the reference list. Citation should be as follows e.g. According to Dinkar, (2018) or (Dinkar , 2018). This should also be included as a reference in the end of the paper which should be in APA style in alphabetical and chronological order.
APA (American Psychological Association) (Style 5): Citations in the reference section according to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, Sixth Edition, ISBN 978-1-4338-0561-5. The APA style guide would be the standard reference for citing books, journal articles, electronic material, websites and other source material. The prescribed style of citation is as follows:
Reference to a Research Paper: Dinkar , D. (2018). “Study of Impact of Unrelated Product Diversification on Financial Performance of Firms in Indian Perspective”, 8M The Journal of Indian Management and Strategy, ISSN 0973-9335, Vol 23. Issue 2, pp 13-18
- Articles submitted for consideration in 8M have to be accompanied with a declaration by the author/authors that they have not published or submitted the manuscript for publication elsewhere.
- Editorial decisions are communicated within a period of 8 weeks of the receipt of manuscript.
- In case the reviewer suggests revision of the manuscript, the author has to modify the manuscript and submit the revised manuscript within 7-10 days.

The format should be the following:
Title: The Title should be precise and relevant. It should give brief idea of the manuscript.
Authors: Authors should give details of institution's name and address with designation, email id, mobile number and postal address for hard copy of Journal. Abstracts of manuscript can be viewed at www.indianjournals.com
Abstract: The abstract should not exceed 200 words. The abstract should give a brief idea of the objectives, research questions raised, findings and implications.
Keywords: The keywords should between 6 to 10 words. For example, Implied Volatility, Inflation, Capitalisation, Decontrol.
Introduction: should be brief and limited to the background and statement of the problem. The drafting of the Introduction should be done in such a manner that the readers are able to understand the need of the research.
Review of Literature: should cover the work done by previous authors and project the gaps in literature and the reasons for taking up the research study.
Research Design and Methods: This section should provide details regarding theoretical framework of the research. Some theoretical explanation for the relationship under investigation measurement instruments used to explore or test the theories or ideas used in research, the empirical methodology and theory to develop and analyze the objectives of research.
Results and Discussion: The results of objectives should be well explained, highlighting the evaluation parameters with description of methods and results obtained. The discussion should cover the anticipated outcomes that make the study worthwhile.
Tables and Figures: Tables and Figures should be self-explanatory and serially numbered according to the text. There should be a title above the Tables and Figures and sources should be clearly written below the table. Table with less than 6 columns and 20 rows are not acceptable. Place the explanatory heading above the tables and figures. If a figure has already been published elsewhere, then the original source has to be mentioned along with the written permission from the copyright holder.
Conclusion: The conclusion should summarize the research findings accomplished and its contribution to respective stakeholders and suggestions, if any, may follow.
Plagiarism: Authors should contribute their original work. To ensure originality and essence of the research contribution of authors we use plagiarism software and the authors are bound to adhere to it.
