Abstract An experiment was conducted at Experimental Research Farm, R.B.S College Bichpuri, Agra (U.P.) to study the effect of MH and NAA on growth and flowering yield of African marigold (Tagetes erecta L.) cv. Pusa narangi gainda during rabi season of 2021–2022. The trial was conducted in a randomized block design with nine treatments and replicated thrice which consists of different concentration of NAA and MH such as 0 control, 100, 200, 300, 400 ppm and 250, 500, 750, and 1000 ppm respectively, sprayed at 40 and 60 DAT. The result of the present study indicated that foliar application of NAA @ 300 ppm significantly increased the plant height, minimum days taken to first flower appearance while the foliar application of MH @ 1000 ppm concentration significantly increased the plant spread both East- West and North- South, diameter of the main stem, number of primary branches, length of the longest primary branch, diameter of flower, number of buds per plant at 60 DAT and number of flowers per plant.
