Aims and Scope
This Journal of Management and Change, which is the
prestigious journal of the IILM Institute for Higher Education, Lodhi Road, New Delhi has completed nine years
of its existence and it is running in tenth year of its publication. Each issue
contains research papers, case studies, original conceptual papers, short
communications and book reviews in diverse areas of management. The Journal aims
to promote excellence in fast expanding field of management literature. The
Journal has earned a good reputation among academicians and managers considering
the number of subscribers (over 400) and more than 50 journals covered under
exchange programme with institutions that bring out their own journals.
The Journal has an ?Editorial Advisory Board? of
distinguished experts, who are renowned academicians of international standing
to guide its activities. The journal under the insightful guidance and
supervision of Prof. B. Bhattacharya, Director, IILM Institute for Higher Education and former Dean, Indian
Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi, and other members of the ?Editorial
Advisory Board? is acquiring greater and greater heights of excellence.
The journal is attracting distinguished contributors
from all over the world. As a case-in-point, in the the 2005 issue (Vol. 9,
No.1) contributors were from IIT Delhi, IILM New Delhi, Kurukshetra University,
Hamdard University New Delhi, and Management Development Institute Gurgaon.
Similarly, in one of the previous issues in 2001 (Vol. 5, No.1) authors were
from diverse regions both from India and overseas such as, Shri Ram Centre for
Industrial Relations and Human Resources New Delhi, IIM Ahmedabad, University of
West Indies Barbados (West Indies), Institute of Leadership and Management
Lahore (Pakistan), School of Social Science Sabah (Malaysia), G B Pant Social
Science Institute Allahabad, IIM Bangalore, and IIT Delhi.
It has been the policy of the Journal to encourage
more application oriented papers as growing vast field of management is
essentially applied science. The Journal in future may also bring out special
issues on select themes such as ?supply chain management?, ?cross-cultural
management? or ?energy eecurity?, which have become highly relevant in the
present day context. The Journal publishes six to eight book reviews in every
issue. Till date book reviews are being done by internal faculty but in future
it is planned to involve outside experts in the subject topic.
