Abstract For Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises with time government of India has withdrawn protective policies and has adopted promotional policies which increases competitiveness of the manufacturing and services sector. The sector has faced various changes in terms of definition. After the introduction of MSMED ACT, 2006 the small scale industries is known as Micro, Small and Medium enterprises. The study is based on secondary data. The study attempts to study the various problems faced by micro, small and medium enterprises. The classification helps in conceptualizing the various problems faced by MSMEs. This research paper is helpful to academicians, Ministry of MSME, practitioners and common people. Study concludes that the performance of MSMEs has a positive impact on the growth of the economy of the country and government should support this sector as it reduces poverty and helps in the development of the country.
