Abstract Life fecundity table (for female) of Coccinella septempunctata Linn. predating on mustard aphid, Lipaphis erysimi Kalt., revealed that the net reproductive rate, mean length of generation under laboratory and field conditions were 95.88 and 54.179 and 28.88 and 28.68 days, respectively. Innate capacity for increase in numbers, finite rate of natural increase in numbers under aforesaid conditions, were 0.1580 and 0.1392; and 1.171 and 1.149 females/female/day, respectively. Weekly multiplication rate of population was 3.019 and 2.644 times, respectively. Hypothetical female population in F2 generation was calculated as 9192.974 and 2935.36 females, respectively. Top |
