Abstract

Polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) is thermoplastic synthesized by microorganisms under stress condition. During present investigation effect of pH on PHA production by Enterobacter aerogenes was studied. PHA production got affected by change in pH. Under nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) stress, and at pH 6 maximum PHA was synthesized.
