Abstract

Soil physical properties vary over space and time dimension; tree ecosystem, agroforestry and other related system impacting over decades. Ecosystem service, economic security as well as soil and water conservation measures are related to the orchard based ecosystem wherein the changes of soil properties were visible and quantifiable. Management options were also determining the way soil reacts and were often resilient to such change. Role of web based service or ICT based solutions provide real time based soil management for growers/ farmers/planners/stakeholders of fruit/horticultural industry for the betterment of keeping the soil healthy and nutrient rich. Agronomic measures were also impacting and of course needed to improve the deterioration of soil condition. The present study appraised the spatiotemporal variations in soil physical properties over vast ecosystem
