1Research Scholar, Department of Library and Information Science, Rani Channamma University, Belagavi, India

Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) in academic publications radically changes the nature of scholarly communication. This research explores the profound implications of AI on important facets of academic publication, including peer review, content production, and paper submission. It illustrates how artificial intelligence (AI) is changing conventional publishing practices and expediting the distribution of scholarly literature by examining AI-driven platforms such as Scite, Scholarly, and Trinka. Although artificial intelligence (AI) has great potential to improve the productivity and quality of academic publications, it raises moral, legal, and societal issues that must be addressed. Notwithstanding these difficulties, there is potential for innovation advancement and preserving academic publication integrity through the cooperative integration of AI and human knowledge. The ability to use AI’s adverse possibilities while upholding the fundamental values of academic honesty and openness will ultimately determine the direction of academic communication.
