The region of Bordj Bou Arreridj, Algeria, has recently witnessed a remarkable development in olive cultivation.
This study, focusing on the Chemlal variety, examined the effects of drip irrigation compared to rainfall irrigation. Conducted in the municipality of El Anasser, Bordj Bou Arréridj province, it explored various morphological, physiological and phenological aspects.
The results highlight the advantages of irrigated trees, particularly in terms of shoot growth, leaf surface area, number of flower clusters per branch, number of flower buds per cluster, chlorophyll content and stomatal density. Additionally, irrigation led to a precocity of 4 to 7 days across various phenological stages.
