Abstract

The highest fruitlet thinning, leaf: fruit ratio, return bloom and minimum June drop and September drop were recorded in 400 ppm Ethephon treatment. The total fruit yield was maximum in untreated trees. However, fruit size was maximum in the Ethephon 400 ppm treatment, indicating that the marketable yield was higher in trees thinned by various thinning treatments.
