Abstract

A comparative study was done for the treatment of canine aural haematoma in dogs. A total of 16 clinical cases were divided in four equal groups and treated with installation of PVC perforated drain in group I, latex drain in group II and silicone perforated drain in group III, whereas in group IV conventional surgical procedure was performed. The study revealed that silicone drain technique is the morest suitable from cosmetic point of view for docile dogs with good post-operative care.
