Abstract

Blast injuries are becoming common these days especially due to the increasing number of terrorist attacks as well as ongoing wars all around the world. The injuries are mostly due to missiles that are present in the bomb as well as from the surrounding region due to blast effect. While there are many reports of internal injuries due to blast effect, there are not many known reports of external injuries purely due to blast effect. Here we are going to present a case report in which there was a blast in the common household LPG cylinder that produced blast effect injuries, a classical triad of abrasion, contusion and lacerations all over the body, mainly involving the frontal aspect.
