Sterilized explants (shoot tip) of two dahlia cultivars under aseptic condition were inoculated on MS medium supplemented with various concentrations of growth regulators viz., BAP (1.0 and 2.0 mg/l), IAA (0.1 and 0.2 mg/l) and Kinetin (2.0, 4.0, and 8.0 mg/l). Minimum days taken for shoot initiation, higher number of shoot with better shoot length were recorded on MS medium containing 0.1 mg/l IAA and 4.0 mg/l Kinetin in both the cultivars. However, maximum dry weight of shoot was recorded with higher concentration of BAP 2.0 mg/l and lower concentration of IAA 0.1mg/l and also with lower concentration of Kinetin 2 mg/l and IAA 0.1 mg/l.
