Effect of pollution on the physico-chemical parameters of water of Mathabhanga river, Chuadanga Bangladesh

Mathabhanga is an important river in south western part of Bangladesh which played vital role in agriculture, drinking, urban set up, live stock harvesting, nursing biodiversity, recreation and aesthetic beautification. Anthropogenic activities causes huge damaged to the aquatic ecosystem because of increasing concentration of pollutants. Hazardous chemicals released from different sources of pollution altered the health of the water which directly affects the biotic and biotic factors of river ecosystem. Attempts were made to assess the ecological degradation of the aquatic environments and its impact on fish.
