Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) is now becoming the mainstream for enterprise applications. Without a robust, standards based platform that is directly focused on interoperability, it is impossible to build new composite applications using services.
This paper outlines a frame work and best practices for management as it specifically relates to SOk and introduces six steps SOA Management model. Armed with this model, architects and IT managers with SOA responsibility will have the knowledge and framework they need to ensure SOA success.
Today, developers are faced with a perplexing array of technologies for developing Web services. This paper discusses the most important industry standards that are becoming available for developers to build interoperable services and composite applications. Oracle has helped to define these standards and is using them as the basic building blocks for the Fusion Middleware platform. As the Oracle platform is builtfrom the ground up on standards, developers can create portable and interoperable services that are guaranteed to work together.
