E-commerce has a great effect on the development of global economy. Small firms are gaining more profits by using e-commerce for making transactions with the clients. By utilizing ICTs facilities to maximum they can reduce the transaction costs to maximum. This reduction will encourage the firms to extend the number of transactions they conduct across both organizational and geographical boundaries. E-commerce has brought in a new transformation. It has added to advantages like removing the barriers oftime zones, differences in costs, geographical locations etc. This has resulted in a major push in development in infrastructure, technology and several other sectors across the globe. Many developing countries are not able to utilize the efficiencies and potentialities ofinternet marketing. By using the internet in the developing countries only very little business had been taken place with new customers/suppliers. Many industries in the developing countries are not able to utilize the B2B e-commerce effectively. Internet technologies to provide security in online payments have been evolving. Despite its credibility still the most widely accepted standard, is the Secure Socket Layer (SSL), a set of built-in browser protocols designed initially by Netscape to protect card-based financial transactions on the Internet.
The employment impact is unclear and will vary by industry sector, job type and other employee characteristics. Finally in the development of e-commerce the government should also playa key role by becoming Internet and business friendly and set Internet access and use as a priority. The proceeding topic will highlight its crux in applying its concept in various modes of affairs such as employment, legal issues and emerging technology.
