Abstract

Therefore, caste discrimination is the most important socio-cultural evil which directly and indirectly impacts over the future of the Dalit children. It enhances the growing rate of illiteracy as reason of continuity of poverty. Since when a person is illiterate it means his socio-economic and political life is full of darkness. Furthermore, due to this problem children will follow the traditional professions of his parents like cleaning drains, manual workers or shoe polish both in the rural and urban areas. Lastly their next generation will also follow the same life pattern and at the end they face the problems of unemployment and exploitations in every aspect of their life in the society. In the political context they also become parochial in nature only because of lack of education which keeps way away from knowledge of their right, liberty, laws, administration and also about the governments. It means education is the heart of the socio-political and economic development.
