Abstract

A new compound 5-aryl-2-aryl amino-5-hydrothiazolo [4,3-b]-1,3,4-oxadiazole was synthesized from aromatic primary amine. The compound was evaluated for its effect on mitosis in root tip cells of Allium cepa. The compound showed significant antimitotic activity. A linear proportional relationship was noticed between the concentration of the above compound and the inhibition of mitotic activity
