Abstract

Isolation, screening and characterization of the effective endophytic bacterial strains were carried out and antibiotic gene was identified for the management of the major disease in the cotton plant. The PCR analysis for the presence of antibiotic genes in the Bacillus isolates revealed that 19 isolates of Bacillus had the gene for Iturin A, 10 isolates had the gene for Iturin C, 19 isolates had the gene for Surfactin, 10 isolates had the gene for the Bacillomycin A and 17 isolates had the gene for the Bacillomycin D
