Abstract

A series of novel metal composites with the general molecular formula [M (CH6N4)2 {C10H6 (1-O) (2-COO)}2].2H2O where [M=Ce- Ni- Mn- Co; Li-Mn- Fe -Cu; Pb- Ca- Ba -Ce; Fe- Zn- Cu- Mn; Mg -Ba- Cu- Sr] of ratio 1:2:2 was synthesized in the proposed work. The formation of M-O was confirmed by the presence of peak at 440 nm -470 nm by IR spectra. UV-visible spectra, TG-DTA, XRD, SEM analysis and FT-IR confirmed the presence of a functional group and UV-visible spectroscopy determined the absorbance peak along with possible modes of transition. The thermal decomposition methods revealed the degradation pattern of the metal composite via. the loss of water molecules, disintegration of inorganic salts and the formation of final deposits in the form of oxide. XRD studies demonstrated the structural information and examined the purity of the compound. The morphology of the composites has been examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
