Abstract

Late blight disease caused by the fungus, Phytophthora infestans has brought about heavy losses in the potato crop. The product TAEGRO based on Bacillus subtilis was evaluated against late blight of potato. The experiment was laid out with Ramdomized Block Design with nine treatments (T1 to T9) with different combinations of biocontrol agents and agrochemical. Among the treatments, T5-Mancozeb at 1.25 kg ha-1 and (Cymoxanil 8% + Mancozeb 64%) at 1.25 kg ha-1 and 0.75 kg ha-1 + TAEGRO (370 g ha-1) recorded a PDI of 22.61 with increasing yield of 19240 kg ha-1 under the field experiment which was found significantly superior in managing Late blight disease of potato with least disease severity.
