Digital image processing and analysis techniques are widely used in healthcare industry for various purposes. In this paper, a model of decision support system (DSS) for medical palmistry is proposed. This DSS can predict some diseases, well in advanced, by using concepts of Medical Palmistry. There are some specific symbols mentioned in medical palmistry, which indicates probability of diseases related to respective part of human body. Image processing techniques can be used to identify such symbols in the image of human palm. Image analysis techniques can be applied to process the image data and prediction, on the basis of knowledgebase. The model is proposed and under development to predict diseases using Image processing & analysis techniques and Medical Palmistry
