Abstract

In this paper, it is assumed that the proportion defective is a random variable that follows a beta distribution and the modified producer's risk and the consumer's risk for special type double sampling (STDS) plan are derived. This is in contrast with the traditional assumptions that the proportion defective, p is a constant. Numerical examples are presented for random and constant p of special type double sampling plan for various parameter values of the beta distribution
