Field studies were conducted in Transitional Plain of Luni Basin of Rajasthan to evaluate the efficiency of fertilizer management practices for crop yield enhancement of isabgol. Potency of seven varieties of seeds on the quantum of seed production of isabgol was also studied. The maximum seed yield has been provided by variety RI 89. Other varieties performed above average were RI-3025 and GI – 2 with seed yield of 14.10 and 13.67 q ha−1 respectively. The application of FYM 10 t ha−1, biofertilizers (PSB and Azotobactor) along with fertilizers N 30 kg and P 25 kg ha−1 provided 32.92% increase in seed yield of isabgol over farmer's practice. The use of better seed rate of 5 kg ha−1 with foliar spray of 1% soluble NPK at flowering stage has also shown an increase of 27.35% in seed yield, over farmer's practice
