The length-weight relationship has a biological basis and depicts the pattern of growth of fishes, which depends also on a number of condition cofactors. We report here the relationships between length-weight (LWR) and length-length (LLR) of masher (Tor tor, Hamilton 1822). We discuss also on, Condition factor (K) and relative condition factor (Kn) of mahseer from three different locations of India (Madya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan). The correlation between length and weight was 0.965, 0.477 and 0.940 from Narmada river (Hosangabad, Madhya Pradesh), Tata farm Valvan Lonawala, Maharastra) and Bari Talab (Udaipur, Rajasthan) respectively. The values of exponent ‘b’ between length and weight were 3.632 from Hoshangabad, 2.566 from Lonawala and 3.113 from Udaipur indicating favorable environment for growth of fish. Similarly, good correlation between total length and standard length were also observed. The condition factor (K) values were 0.907, 1.439 and 1.144 and the relative condition factor (Kn) values were 1.001, 1.001 and 1.002 for mahseer from Hosangabad (MP), Tata farm Valvan Lonawala (Maharashtra) and Bari Talab, Udaipur (Rajasthan) respectively, suggesting healthy environment in the water body. Periodical studies, similar to ours will assess the quality of the water bodies for growth of healthy fish
