The paper attempts to analyse the peiformance of textile spinning industry. 1he industry is assessed in terms of analyzing its cost structures. 1he univariate and multivariate analysis are applied to reflect operational efficiency for predicting the financial health of the industry. Working capital assessment of the industry is based on Multi DiScriminant ModeL 1he study.finds that textile spinning industry has to be more cost competitive and should move up in the value chain with the philosophy of total cost management to become globally competitive.
