In the present study, we have discussed the propagation of SH-type of waves in n-layered half space. We have discussed Thomson Haskell matrix method in detail. The use of Thomson Haskell matrix method proved to be powerful method to study the waves in multilayered medium. This method proved useful and able to express dispersion equation in simple and compact form for any number of layers. It is observed that for some particular value the model turns to propagation of waves in two layered half space.
