Shortest Path on Airport Connectivity System Using Pentagonal Neutrosophic Fuzzy Graphs

Abstract

Neutrosophic set theory is a generalization of fuzzy set theory that effectively handles uncertainty and indeterminacy in real-world problems. The shortest path problem is an important tool in network analysis, especially when the available data is imprecise. In this work, the Pentagonal Neutrosophic Fuzzy Number (PNN) approach is applied to determine the shortest path in a neutrosophic environment. A score function is used to defuzzify the neutrosophic numbers into crisp values, and a new algorithm is proposed to evaluate the shortest path. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through a real-life example, showing that it efficiently handles uncertainty while producing reliable results.
