Abstract

Two fungal antagonists viz., Trichoderma viride and Trichoderma harzianum were evaluated along with a fungicide (carbendazim 50 WP) as seed treatment and soil drench against damping-off disease in cabbage caused by Rhizoctonia solani. Under in vitro conditions biocontrol agents significantly inhibited the growth of R. solani and under field conditions they caused significant reduction in damping-off incidence, increased seed germination and improved plant growth vigour as compared to untreated control.
