The article provides information on the history of the development of woodcarving in Central Asia. In particular, there are sources about the development of the Timurid period, the activities of the schools of woodcarving and its mature representatives, their heirs today. There is also information about the technology used by the craftsmen. This is a priceless work of Uzbek wood carving. Each oasis had its own unique style and methods of wood carving. For example, the monumentality of the Khiva wood carving differs from others in that it preserves the natural color of the wood.
