The article analyzes the essence and relevance of food security and analyzes the measures taken to ensure food security in Uzbekistan in the context of a global pandemic. The current state of agriculture and food industry in the Republic of Uzbekistan requires new approaches to the formation of state policy.In recent years, several measures have been taken in the Republic of Uzbekistan to strengthen food security. At the same time, in the face of growing global risks, it is important not to stop there, but to continue work on the development of the agro-industrial complex and strengthening the country’s food security. Thus, food security is one of the key components of the national development plan, as it is associated with a wide range of socioeconomic, demographic and environmental factors.
