The paper deals with the issues related to the use of geophysical methods for prospecting for ore occurrences and deposits of radioactive elements. The main attention is paid to their dissemination on the territory Chatkal-Kurama ore region. The presence of radioactive elements (uranium-238, potassium-40) in the area of search, in natural conditions, as well as thorium232, as a promising raw material for a new type of nuclear power plant is shown.
