Tamil's are the one of the ancient races of human history and also the people belonging to the land of prosperity. Their principles, gods and goddess, language, literature, familiar attribute, life style, food habits, settlement pattern, music and musical instruments, weapons etc were one of the oldest among the ancient civilizations. There is a need to study in detail about the warfare, arms and ammunitions of ancient Tamils. We could even find more numbers of arms and ammunitions in the statues found at various temples and herostones in Tamilnadu.
