The main link in the development of consciousness is the formation of self-consciousness. It helps a person in many ways, for example: to reflect the world; to know and experience the inner-world. Throughout a person‘s life, under the influence of a large number of social influences, his image of “I” develops. The article presents the stages of development of personality selfawareness during the period of ontogenetic development.
