Acute back pain: Diagnostic and therapeutic algorithms

The problem of diagnosis and treatment of acute back pain is discussed. Information concerning the etiology, pathogenesis, classification, clinic, diagnostic methods and principles of treatment of this pathology is presented. Special attention is paid to non-selective non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs acting on both types of cyclooxygenase, which are the drug of choice for the treatment of vertebrogenic pain syndromes.
