Priority directions of nuclear medicine

This paper analyzes modern methods and technologies for obtaining medical diagnostic and brachytherapy radioactive drugs. In addition, information is given on the features of the use of accelerators for proton therapy. Research aimed at the development of new technologies for nuclear medicine and radiation therapy is a priority part of the work plan of research centers and universities in developed countries. Investments in research in nuclear medicine and radiation therapy are viewed in developed countries as a necessary contribution to improving the quality of life of t he population.
